OUR MISSION AND APPROACH
YouReach’s mission is to mentor and instill pride and hope in underprivileged children of the National Capital Region. We do this by helping them reflect upon their heritage and write about their hopes for the future, while working on their writing skills.
The children have the opportunity to meet and interview successful Hispanic role models, and with our help write about their experiences and what they learned. Our goal is that by taking pride in their roots and writing about their hopes and possibilities for the future, they will reaffirm their commitment to stay in school, and look forward to college and boundless opportunities ahead. We aspire to help them see and feel that anything is possible, that they can achieve, that they can reach out.
